In 2005, the EITC Coalition of the City of Wichita, United Way, IRS, and CPRF helped write a grant to the Ford Foundation for the pilot project through the National Disability Institute.

The Mayors that will be recognized by Ron Smith, Chief IRS/SPEC, for their partnerships efforts in helping disabled and low income individuals with preparations of the Earned Income Tax Credit are:

Mayor Mayans said "The City of Wichita and the community is honored to be recognized for their collaborative efforts in helping those that can not help themselves."
