The Spring edition of “City Improvements” will debut Thursday, May 25 on the City’s government cable Channel 7 at 3, 5, 7, 9, 10 and 11 PM. This program follows the Wichita City Council Workshop tour of three key downtown projects that are currently underway in Wichita. Those projects are the Central Rail Corridor Project, River Corridor Project, and the new Marriott Hotel in Old Town (a private development). This 22-minute video features Vice Mayor Paul Gray (District 4), City Council members Carl Brewer (District 1), Sue Schlapp (District 2), Bob Martz (District 5), Sharon Fearey (District 6) and members of City staff.
“City Improvements” is a new quarterly program series that highlights various projects that are implemented to improve Wichita’s quality of life. The program will be aired at various times throughout the week, and regularly at 7 AM, 5 PM, 9 PM and 10 PM every day. It will also be aired at 3 PM and 7 PM every day, unless it is pre-empted by a City Council or County Commission meeting.
Also, for those people that do not have cable access or live outside the city limits, a DVD copy of this edition of “City Improvements” will be available for check out at the City of Wichita Public Library, Central Branch.
