Market, between Douglas and First Streets, is closed to traffic until further notice.
The skywalk in that stretch is held up by marble slabs, and two of the slabs have fallen off down into the street and others look like they have the potential to fall.
City representatives as well as the property owner are working on the situation. The stretch will be closed until a structural engineer can assess the structure.
