City Opens New Water Distribution Facility

| Today, Council member Paul Gray and members of the community dedicated the City’s new water distribution facility. Formerly the site of the City’s Transit operations, the facility now houses the City’s water distribution, meter reading/customer service and fire hydrant maintenance divisions. The facility is located at 1825 S. McLean Boulevard.
“To provide better customer service, the City has moved various Water Department facilities to centralized locations throughout the community,” said Council Member Paul Gray. “In doing so, we place our employees closer to the customers that they serve the most.”
Also speaking at the dedication were Roger Brown with Law-Kingdon, Inc., the project’s architect, and David Haynes, with Simpson and Associates, the project’s contractor.
