Options for the Initial Registration of Current Alarm Users
The alarm user registration process may begin as soon as this packet of information is received and ends on January 9, 2002. This initial current alarm user registration will only be allowed one time.

Registration Submitted on Floppy Disk or CD
Submit the completed "Initial Alarm User Registration Cover Sheet" and the required alarm user registration information on a floppy disk or a CD. A floppy disk or CD must be used for registration if the alarm business is registering more than 500 alarm users. Registrations of less than 500 alarms users will also be accepted in this format.
Included in this mailing is a two-page layout for submitting initial current alarm user registration on a floppy disk or CD. The record must be submitted in a DOS type ASCII format. Fields in each record should be formatted according to the fixed-length details listed on the two-page layout entitled "City of Wichita Initial Current Alarm User Permit Record Layout". Each record in the file should be delimited with a Carriage Return/Line Feed character. Fields in BOLD type are required and must be provided to register the alarm user.

Registration Submitted on Paper Forms
Submit alarm user registration information on the "Current Alarm Customer Registration Application" form. Do not alter this form or submit substitute forms for this process. Complete one form for each current alarm user. (Please type or print legibly). Paper registration will only be accepted to register up to 500 alarm users. Paper registration will not be accepted to register more than 500 alarm users. All paper forms must be submitted at the same time, in the same mailing package and include the completed "Initial Alarm User Registration Cover Sheet". Single, individual forms will not be accepted. It is suggested that the 'Date' and the 'Alarm Business Information' section of the "Current Alarm Customer Registration Application" be completed on one of the forms so that it may be photocopied and used for the paper registrations. This will limit the completion of the photocopied forms to only needing to add the 'Alarm Customer Information' section.
Registration of New Alarm Users AFTER the Registration of Current Alarm Users is Complete
Immediately after the initial current alarm user information has been prepared, new alarm users will need to be registered using the pre-numbered alarm user registration form. The "Alarm Registration Block Permit Order Form" will be used to order the pre-numbered alarm user registration forms that an alarm business will want to keep on hand for new alarm users. Each alarm business must estimate the number of pre-numbered alarm user permit registration forms needed and order a supply of the registration forms before submitting initial alarm user registration for current alarm users.
