Minutes of the January 24th, meeting 
(Original meeting was snowed out and moved to February 7th)



Present:   John Shepherd, Carl Hanna, Ray Frederick, Gary Highfill, Frank Rash, Dave Hughes

Absent:  Randy Holm

Staff:   Sharon Dickgrafe w/ Law Department, Kurt Schroeder, Stoney Nethercot, and Kim Mudd

Guests Present:  Lonny Wright

Chairman, Dave Hughes called the meeting to order.

Ray Frederick, seconded by Frank Rash, moved to accept the December minutes, motion carried 6 - 0.

Discussion was held on the Continuing Education Policy.  Several topics discussed, including the letter from Mr. Clark, and solid fuel should not be doing gas fireplaces.  

Clarification was asked that the Continuing Education Policy was only policy, not code.  Mr. Schroeder clarified that this would be policy not code.  Ray Frederick, seconded by Carl Hanna to accept the Continuing Education Policy, motion carried 6 - 0.

Discussion was held on the ordinance, regarding clarification on who is responsible for the ratio of journeyman to workers, and actually see them doing the work and clarification the ratio is 2:1.  Working on wording to be changed to nationally recognized test agency.  Additional discussion was held on the different testing of ICC (International Code Council) versus Block (Thomas Prometric).

Frank Rash, seconded by Gary Highfill, to adjourn the meeting, motion carried 6 - 0.
