MINUTES OF 
THE BOARD OF 
APPEALS OF REFRIGERATION, 
AIR CONDITIONING, WARM AIR HEATING
 AND BOILERS

Those Present:  Randy Holm, Carl Hanna, Ray Frederick, Frank Rash, Gary Highfill, and Dan Leidy.

Those Absent: Blaine Tharp and David Hughes

Randy Holm made the motion to approve the Dec. 2006 minutes. Second by Carl Hanna. Motion carried.

Hosea Baskus requested a variance at 2425 S. Hillside. Upon discussion and questions from the Board, it was decided that we were dealing with a Refrigeration Unit and not a condensing unit. This was a used self-contained unit. Ray Frederick made the motion to approve the variance. Second by Frank Rash. Motion carried.

The Board stated that the County was having their Board meeting Jan. 31, 2007 at 3:00 to decide which codes they were going to adopt for 2007.

After much discussion, Frank Rash made the motion that the City of Wichita adopt the 2006 International Mechanical Code, the 2006 International Fuel Gas Code, and the 2006 International Residential Code with local amendments. Second by Carl Hanna. Motion carried.

Ray Frederick discussed with the Board, the meeting which was held by Kurt Schroeder Oct. 13, 2007. Ray stated that Kurt Schroeder said to set up a committee of three persons from each Board to meet and develop guidelines for Cont. Ed. for the City of Wichita. Those to sit for Mechanical are Ray Frederick, Frank Rash and Gary Highfill.

Gary Highfill requested Dan Leidy explain the renewal process which takes place December 2007 for the 2008 & 2009
