Under new business Secretary Kerschen gave the Board a copy of an invoice dated February 12, 2007 for electrical work from Seaburn Electric and HVAC. The work was performed at 2107 S Green for Housing and Community Services. Secretary Kerschen told the Board the City of Wichita does not have a licensed electrical contractor by that name and upon farther checking John Seaburn, his address matches the address on the invoice, only has journeyman electrical certificate and not a master certificate. Secretary Kerschen also gave the Board a copy of an electrical permit log sheet showing an electrical permit taken out by Kendrek Electric and they requested an inspection for a service change on March 1, 2007. Secretary Kerschen reminded the Board that the City ordinance states no license holder shall permit the use of his name by any other person, either directly or indirectly, for the purpose of obtaining a permit or for the purpose of doing any electrical work under his license. Board member Whittit made a motion that Secretary Kerschen write a letter to Kendrek Electric ordering him to appear before the Board at the April meeting for a hearing. The motion was seconded by Board member Ragland and approved. With no other business to conduct, Board member Whittit made a motion to adjourn. Board member Chapman seconded the motion and the meeting adjourned. The time was 3:35 pm. Tom Kerschen, Secretary, Board of Electrical Appeals 1
