MINUTES
OF THE BOARD OF 
APPEALS OF REFRIGERATION,
AIRCONDITIONING, WARM 
AIR HEATINGAND BOILERS
June 28, 2007
9:00 a.m.



Those Present: Ray Frederick, Frank Rash, Gary Highfill, David Hughes, John Shepherd, Carl Hanna, Randy Holm and Dan Leidy.

Also Present: Lonny Wright 

There was not a Board Meeting in May.

Minutes of the April meeting were not available at this time.

The Mechanical Board welcomed the new member John Shepherd.

The new member and re-appointed members that had not yet been sworn in were sworn in at this meeting. 

The Board discussed the issue of venting in the IFGC. There was some question as whether it should be amended. Carl Hanna stated that he believed that code allows an installer to install equipment per code or may be installed per the Manufacturers Installation Instructions.
The Board decided to leave the code as written and use the Manufacturers Installation Instructions. The Board believed if any problem arises in the future concerning venting of appliances, the Board could address it at that time.

The Board also reviewed Chapter 12 of the IMC again (Hydronic Heating) and decided it would be best to leave it in the Mechanical Code as written and make no changes.
