(District IV) As a result of sustained growth in sales, JR Custom Metal is now requesting the City Council to approve an Economic Development Tax Exemption on additional manufacturing equipment in the amount of $635,000, in connection with an ongoing expansion of their facility. RECOMMENDED ACTION: Close the public hearing and place the ordinance granting a 44.5% tax exemption on personal property improvements for a five-year term on first reading and authorize the necessary signatures. 36. Extension of IRB Tax Exemption, Royal Caribbean Cruises, Ltd. (District IV) On November 21, 2000, City Council approved issuance of Industrial Revenue Bonds in the amount of $19,800,000, to Royal Caribbean Cruises, Ltd. Royal Caribbean requests the City Council to extend the tax exemption to include the second five-years on the 2000 bond-financed property. RECOMMENDED ACTION: Extend the tax exemption on Royal Caribbean's IRB- Financed property for a second five-year term. 37. Extension of IRB Tax Exemption, Big Dog Motorcycles, L.L.C. (District I) On December 12, 2000, the City Council approved issuance of Industrial Revenue Bonds in the amount of $2,000,000, to Big Dog Motorcycles, L.L.C. Big Dog Motorcycles, L.L.C. request City Council extend the tax exemption to include the second five-years on the 2000 bond-financed property. RECOMMENDED ACTION: Extend the tax exemption on Big Dog Motorcycles' IRB-financed property for a second five-year term. 38. Extension of IRB Tax Exemption, 2525 North Woodlawn, Voice Stream Wichita, Kansas, LLC. (District I) On Marcy 21, 2000, the City Council approved the issuance of Industrial Revenue Bonds in the amount of $11,500,000, to VS Property, LLC, for the benefit of VoiceStream Wireless Corporation. 2525 N. WOODLAWN VSTRM WICHITA, KS, LLC, requests City Council extend the tax exemption to include the second five-years on the 2000 bond-financed property. RECOMMENDED ACTION: Extend the tax exemption on the IRB-financed property for a second five-year term. 39. Extension of IRB Tax Exemption, McCormick-Armstrong Co., Inc. (District I) On June 14, 2005, City Council approved of a one-year extension of the property tax exemption and directed staff to return to Council at the end of the year for consideration of an additional extension. RECOMMENDED ACTION: Extend the tax exemption on McCormick- Armstrong's IRB-financed personal property for a one-year period and review the further extensions at the end of next year. 40. Approval of Economic Development Incentives Agreement for Integra Technologies LLC. (District II) Integra Technologies LLC is a product testing business for the silicon chip industry, located in the North Rock Business Park at 3450 N. Rock Road. The company began operations in Wichita in 1983 as part of NCR, and was later purchased by AT&T as part of Bell Labs. In 1996, the business became Lucent Technologies and the testing operation was spun-off in 1998 as Integra Technologies. Amkor Technologies purchased Integra in 2000, as part of their worldwide silicon chip manufacturing business. RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve the proposed forgivable loan economic development incentive agreement for Integra Technologies LLC, and approve first reading of the home rule ordinance.
