Motion carried unanimously (6-0). ITEM NO. 6 OLD BUSINESS None ITEM NO. 7 CONSENT AGENDA A. Roof Repairs HPC2007-00522-524; -527; -539; -533 and 2008-00001. B. Signs HPC2007-00525 1122 N. Topeka. Install channel letter with neon halo lighting for Grace Med. HPC2007-00526 212 S. Market. Install awnings on the Kaufman Building on west elevation – 3 windows; 1 doorway. HPC2007-00529 1425 N. Broadway. Install new freestanding pole sign with spotlights for Garden Railway Gizmos. HPC2007-00531 920 E. Douglas. Recover existing awning frame with new fabric, sign and logo. C. Other HPC2007-00528 1064 N. Market. Replace fire-damaged vinyl siding with new vinyl siding to match existing. Motion #2 made by Seiwert, 2nd by Edgington to approve the consent agenda. Motion carried unanimously (6-0). ITEM NO. 8 CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS APPLICATIONS 1. MAJOR: (HPB2008-00006) Environs, CM Jackman House St James Episcopal Church APPLICANT: Larry Reynolds FOR: 3750 E Douglas Applicant proposes to build new 5' masonry wall around memorial garden on west side of fellowship hall, build new one- story storage room on northeast corner of building, build new kitchen addition on east elevation and new glass system entrances on fellowship hall and on north side of building. Motion #4 made by Edgington, 2nd Seiwert by to find that the proposed project does not encroach, damage or destroy the environs of the CM Jackman House and the plans be approved as presented. Motion carried unanimously (6-0). ITEM NO. 9 MISCELLANEOUS MATTERS 1. Request a letter for support from Scottish Rite Consistory from the board for their Heritage Trust Fund Grant Application Motion #5 made by Seiwert, 2nd by Churchman to submit a letter of support for the Scottish Rite Consistory for the 2008 Heritage Trust Fund Grant. Motion carried unanimously (6-0). 2. Discussion of City Preservation Ordinance Sharon Dickgrafe and Historic Preservation staff will meet to further revise the Ordinance and upon completion, this item will be added to the next Agenda.
