Susan has worked for the City of Wichita since 1996. Before joining the Ambassador program, she worked in Customer Service at the Water Department.
Her previous employment background is in management and sales and includes positions at Taco Tico, Long John Silver’s, and Dillards.
Her favorite parts of the job are the daily challenges and the opportunities they present. The exciting developments in the downtown area keep Susan constantly busy. This job enables her to be involved with many different people and be able to assist them and answer their questions. Susan is currently pursuing a Business Management degree with Baker University.
She finds this job particularly rewarding because the downtown people express their gratitude on a daily basis. She has learned much since the inception of the Ambassador program, and looks forward to continue serving the downtown area and meeting all the new challenges ahead.
Sidney Tsimonjela has been with the Ambassador program since its launch on September 30, 2002. He is a Wichita native and currently a Psychology major at Wichita State University. Prior to becoming a Wichita Ambassador, Sidney was employed by the U.S. military and in a variety of customer service positions.
Sidney's most enjoyable moment has been completing Ambassador Program training and getting a deep understanding of what the downtown has to offer. He believes that the positive impact the program has had is due to the Ambassadors' commitment to helping others.
Sidney is glad to be apart of this program and is looking forward to being part of its future development.
