Fee Schedule
The City Council has approved a FEE INCREASE. Effective October 1, 2008, the tipping fee increased from $24 per ton to $25 per ton. The minimum charge remains at $15 per ton.

Special hours of operation may be established on a temporary basis in response to natural or manmade disasters.
| Construction and Demolition Waste |
Tipping fee is $25 per ton, with a Minimum charge of $15.00. Friable asbestos waste fee is $30 per cubic yard. Cash or commercial accounts only.
| Asbestos Containing Material |
Friable Asbestos Material is now being accepted for disposal in an industrial waste monofill. Non-friable Asbestos Containing Material is being accepted for disposal and is subject to a locally issued disposal authorization and is subject to a surcharge of $11.00 per ton.
Clean loads of grass clippings and leaves will be diverted to a pilot scale composing site. This material will be composted and either sold to others or otherwise beneficially used on site. The normal disposal charge will apply. For information on purchasing finished compost contact Herzog Environmental at (316) 722-0601.
Logs, stumps, railroad ties and other wastes that exceed 3 feet in length or more than 18 inches in diameter or because of their size or nature present extraordinary need for processing are subject to a special handling surcharge of $19.80 per ton.
Backhoe dig-out service is subject to a $25 per half hour charge and a one half hour minimum.
Any load observed to contain waste not acceptable at a C&D Landfill will not be allowed to dump at Brooks. Such loads will be referred to an appropriate waste disposal facility. Vehicles and loads that are rejected and have not dumped any portion of their load will not be charged a tipping fee.
| Handling and Disposal of Unacceptable Waste |
Any load containing waste that is not acceptable at a construction and demolition waste landfill is subject to a 100% tipping fee surcharge as a charge for processing of load and proper disposal of all waste unloaded at this site. Per direction from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE), customers will not be allowed to reload any waste unloaded at this site that is not acceptable for disposal at this site.
Payment will be by either cash or pre-approved charge accounts only. Pre-approved charge accounts will involve either prepayment or a payment bond to be posted. No checks accepted.
