Mission

The mission of the Accident Follow-up Unit focuses on the protection of life and property from criminal and traffic related activities through timely follow-up on impaired driver investigations, and the charging of criminal cases related to traffic incidents, striving to reduce loss of life, personal injury and damage to property. 

Responsibilities

The Accident Follow-up Unit consists of three Detectives, one Police Officer, one Police Service Officer, one Clerk, and one Traffic Safety Officer. Personnel are supervised by Lt. Paul Moser. The unit is responsible for investigation of all evade and elude, felony DUI, Hit and Run, and traffic accidents with the potential of felony charges accurring in the City of Wichita. Accident Follow-up Unit staff can be reached Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M at 268-4131, and are located at 455 N. Main, Wichta, Ks 67202.
