Any officer of the Wichita Police Department, or any other officer or employee affiliated with the Police Department, who shall, by their act or acts, further the cause of law enforcement in the City of Wichita by displaying bravery, intelligence or devotion to duty, and who, in the performance of such act or acts, shall be motivated solely by the desire to serve the city without thought of personal gain or advantage, shall be eligible to receive and wear the Bronze Wreath of Valor, which shall be the third highest award bestowed by the Wichita Police Department.
