Class A - Identity Theft: Detective Lem Moore of the Wichita Police Department’s Financial Crimes Unit will focus on Identity Theft, what it is, how to prevent it and what to do if you become a victim of this ever growing crime.
Class B - Triad: Officer Heather Frazier will teach a class on what Triad is and how it can assist the growing senior citizen population in our community.
Class C - Eagle Eyes: Special Agent. Daniela Yoncesa from the United States Air Force Office of Special Investigations, McConnell AFB manages the Eagle Eyes Program, a program that enlists your help in preventing terrorism. Eagle Eyes puts you on the anti-terrorism team by providing the information you need to recognize and report suspicious behavior.
Class D - Landscaping and Security - Dennis Strole of Johnson Garden Center will instruct participants on how to incorporate plant material and landscape lighting around the home and office to create a safer, more secure environment
Class E - Severe Weather Safety Ultimately, it’s up to you!! - Chance Hayes, Warning Coordination Meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Wichita will provide information about tornadoes, lightning, flooding, outdoor warning devices and weather radios. He will explain you can’t always rely on sirens or weather radios and how to react when a storm approaches.
Class F - Meth Labs in Wichita - Presented by Detective Ronald Trollope, students will learn about the current Meth problems in Wichita, including how local businesses are helping in the fight against this illegal drug and what the Wichita Police Department does to clean up these sites.
