Watson Park is a beautiful 119-acre park with a 40-acre lake for fishing and pedal boats. The park offers a rustic setting for fishing and picnicking. A Kansas Fishing license is to required to fish, and concessions and bait are available at the concession facility during spring and summer park hours until October 31. Admission to the park is free, but a fee is charged for participation in some activities and all rides. Picnic shelters, an inside shelter, campfire circle and hayrack rides are available by reservation. The park also offers over 100 picnic tables on a first come/first served basis.
Hours of Operation
Spring and summer park hours begin on March 15th and are 8:00 am - 10 pm daily. Fall park hours begin on October 1st and are Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Saturday and Sunday 8:00 am - 10:00 pm. Beginning November 1st the park hours will be 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, seven days a week -- closed on holidays.
Ride and Activity Fees
Beginning March 15th rides will operate Monday-Friday 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Saturday and Sunday Noon - 8:00 pm.
During the summer all rides will operate Monday-Friday from 9:00 am - Noon and 4:00 pm - 8 pm; and Saturday and Sunday Noon - 8:00 pm. Miniature golf is open daily 9:00 am - 8:00 pm. Once school begins, pedal boats and miniature golf will be operated Monday-Friday from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm until the end of September. Saturday and Sunday, miniature golf, train, pony rides and pedal boats will be operated from Noon until dark. October 1-31 rides will be open Saturday and Sunday Noon - Sundown. Rides will not operate November 1 - March 30.
Pony Rides
Fee: $1.50
Children must be old enough to ride alone, under 90 pounds of weight and under the age of 12.
Train Rides
Fee: $2.00
Train rides are for all ages, but each rider must purchase a ticket.
Pedal Boat Rides
Fee: $2.00
Fee is per person and for a 30-minutes time period. No fishing is allowed from the boat. The maximum number of people allowed in the boat is four, the fourth person must be under the age of six. All riders under the age of 12 must wear a life jacket.
Miniature Golf
Fee: $2.50
18-hole miniature golf course.
Hay Rack Rides
$3.00 per person, minimum of 20 people. No more than 30 people for each ride. $5.00 per person with food, which includes: two hotdogs, can of pop, and bag of chips for each person.
Campfire Circle
Fee: $15 per four hours. Wood is provided.
