If defendants fail to pay court-ordered fines and fees, not only do they risk additional fees and the possibility of a warrant, the Court will also turn their case(s) over to a collection agency for further action.
Municipal Services Bureau (MSB) is the designated collection agency to collect past due fines and costs for Wichita Municipal Court. If no payment has been made for 45 days, court cases are sent to MSB. MSB will attempt to contact the delinquent defendant to make payment arrangements.
If your case(s) is turned over to MSB, you will receive a letter from them explaining your situation, the amount due, and the steps to take to resolve the matter. Once you have been notified of this, all future payments you make should be made to MSB, not the Municipal Court. You may contact MSB at:
