Constructed under the Model Cities Program, this park is located adjacent to the Atwater Neighborhood City Hall and provides an indoor gymnasium and outdoor activity courts for community use.
The park was deeded to the Board of Park Commissioners in 1980 and renamed in 1984 to honor Olympic basketball star Lynette Woodard.
